What Are You Engraving On Your Wedding Bands?

We just bought our wedding bands this past weekend, the wedding is 3 months away. Not sure if we should engrave them or not. The thing is, my ring was super expensive (my fiance was adamant on me having that specific one) so we wound up getting him a tungsten ring for now to save money and are planning to upgrade him to platinum too on our 1 year anniversary. Should we even bother getting them engraved if we are planning on changing his ring? Also, my engagement ring is not engraved, if that makes any difference.

I think it’s nice to have whatever wedding ring you have right now engraved since it is the ring that you will be using during your marriage ritual.
Me and my husband got our wedding rings engraved but since it was too simple then, we wanted to have another one on our 1 year anniversary. We still kept our original wedding ring which was blessed by the priest and used as a symbolism of our love and commitment during our wedding day.
On your wedding ring, engrave your partner’s name and the date of your wedding.

Get them engraved after you guys celebrate your 1 year! that will even save you guys money.

My fiance is Italian and I am half Irish, we are having an Italian/Irish theme to our wedding. Our wedding bands are being made for us to our own design and we are having engraved inside -”Mo Anam Cara - Il Mio Miracolo” its half Gaelic and half Italian.
The Gaelic means “My Soul Mate” and the Italian is “You are My Miracle”
My engagement ring is not engraved.

Hmm, I wouldn’t get his engraved yet. Maybe when you guys go get his new ring on the 1 year anniversary, you can get them engraved.
Then maybe you guys can put a cute line from something that happened at your wedding,or something that has happened to you during the year of marriage.. (ex: something he said in his vows,etc)

i think you should have it engraved now.. then again when you upgrade. seeing what you wrote for him will be a special suprise on the big day.
I’m having a very short line from “our song” engraved in his.

Get them engraved after you change his ring…… If not then you can just get yours engraved for now and later get his to save on money for now

on his “to the moon” it a personal phrase that he has used to describe how much he loves me…..I love how playful he can be!
